PUP Manila secures back-to-back championships in EXCEED 2023's Business Case Competition

PUP Manila representatives claimed back-to-back championship titles in the Business Case Competition, one of the sub-events of EXCEED 2023 with the theme "Empowering Business Visionaries, Defying Socio-Economic Uncertainties", on March 17.


Team Obelisk consists of Brix Cervantes, Ren Gabriel Velasco, and Renzo Oliveros, a group first time working together, survive elimination, semi-final, and final rounds to receive the championship title in the said sub-event and was also recognized as “Best Written Proposal”.


“I am really happy that we were able to conquer all three mountains together. Despite our team being diverse in terms of skills, character, and personalities, we managed to find synergy and evaluate how we could use our individualities to our advantage,” Ren Gabrial, Team Obelisk’s leader said in an interview.


Champion’s team leader also said that he is very honored to be part of Team Tanglaw who won the Business Case Competition last year representing PUP Manila and is now part of Team Obelisk defending this year’s title.


Exceed: The Annual DLSU Accounting Convention for Business Leaders Acknowledges consists of four sub-events namely Business Case Competition, Quiz Bee - Junior Cup, Quiz Bee - Senior Cup, and Virtual Amazing Race.


The annual event deeply seated lulls in the nation’s systems and sets forth a collective defiance of conscious effort that is sure to open doors to future emerging industries.


Moreover, through its annual challenge and convention, EXCEED 2023 has consistently left a lasting impression on the best and brightest business and accounting students and now in its 12th year, emphasizes the necessity of human agency as well as the urgency of establishing progress and positive change.
