PUP JPIAns secure awards in the 3rd Samuel Misa Cup



PUP JPIA Manila representatives bagged awards in the “3rd Samuel Misa Cup-NFJPIA Academic Chronicles with the theme “Valhalla: Discovering New Realms of Wisdom” hosted by the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants, on October 22-23.


Representatives are Joshua M. Carlos and John Paul M. Fadrilan swept third and fourth place in Volume 5: Chronicles of Taxation while Mhel Rose F. Lucas and John Renz C. Oliveros won second and fourth place, consecutively, in Volume 6: Chronicles of Accounting.

PUP Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants Manila became the third placer in the academic contests while second runner-up in the whole event.


The Academic Chronicles have 6 volumes, particularly Chronicles of Basic Accounting, Chronicles of Framework and Standards, Chronicles of Financial Accounting and Reporting, Chronicles of Taxation, and Chronicles of Accounting while Volume 1: Chronicles of Basic Accounting was open to ABM students planning to take accounting-related courses.

Moreover, along with the competitions, there are academic webinars conducted on the first day entitled “SABEDORIA: Unravelling More Opportunities Beyond the Fence” while on the second day, the webinar entitled “Philippine Qualifications Framework: Fresh Accounting Graduates Need to Know.”


This annual event of NFJPIA honors its profounding president Mr. Samuel M. Misa and shares his story with the NFJPIANs as well as comprises academic and non-academic events where members can learn and showcase their skills and talents.
