Polytechnic University of the Philippines Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants Manila representative team outdueled the defending champion University of Santo Tomas Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants in the NCR Webate Open 2022 on April 24, 30, and May 1.
The Champion team from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants Manila consists of Roi David R. Francisco, Ayanna Mae Dangalan, and Chealsea Trinidad C. Mercines.
"We ask a lot of point of inquiries (to their competitors) para mas maging engaging 'yung debate and at the end, we won 'cause we were able to elevate the status quo better in a policy motion in the grand finals," said Roi David Francisco, the Team Captain of the NCR Webate 2022 Champion.
Furthermore, another representative team from the same local chapter got 3rd place, consisting of Juliana Loriel G. Climaco, Earl John Russell Lim, and Dustin Josh P. Ramirez.
The other teams participated in the said event came from the University of the East-Caloocan and Lyceum of the Philippines University-Manila.
The event's entitled "The Podium: Staging the Duel of Doubts" with the theme "Resembling a Place Where One can Express Himself, Stand for His Own Opinions and Ideas, and Successfully Own that Platform" hosted by the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants - FEU Diliman, Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants - TIP Manila, and NEU - Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants.
