BS in Accountancy graduate of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines - Manila got the Institute of Certified Management Accountant (ICMA) bronze medal for garnering one of the third highest scores in the May/June 2022 World CMA Examination.
Jerome G. Umlas, Batch 2014 BS in Accountancy graduate, is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who will have the certification that is recognized globally, which will open career opportunities together with financial benefits.
According to a post released by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI), the passing rate for the intermediate CMA exams in June 2022 was 14.75%, while the passing rate for the final CMA exams was 9.83%.
Moreover, earning his CMA title will give him an additional boost of confidence in making decisions that add value to the organization that he is currently in since the CMA program will help him to develop different skills such as planning and analysis, technology and analytics, risk management, and performance management that are necessary as future financial business leaders.
“For the future CMAs, the best time to prepare is now. As students, you should always give your best in your studies. Study your lessons well and utilize every resource that you have in order to be equipped with the knowledge that you need, not just for the CMA exams but for all other exams that you will be taking in the future. Meanwhile, Mr. Umlas is currently on a vacation celebrating his success and will attend the Annual Conference and Expo. (ACE) 2023 event of Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) in June 2023 that will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S.A.
