PUP JPIA Manila won as the overall champion for the first time since the Literary and Arts Festival has started on 2015 while its representatives emerged awards in their respective categories in the 8th Literary and Arts Festival with the theme “Novella: Speaking Written Truth, Scribing Uttered Veracity”, an event by the NFJPIA-NCR held on November 6 and 12, 2022.
From the Literary Category, Juliana Loriel G. Climaco was 1st place for Pagsulat ng Sanaysay while AJ Ryan Del Rosario won 3rd place under the Arts Category.
In the Journalism Category, first placers were Kristian Denise U. Maglipon for News Writing, Syra Alexandria Ruiz for Editorial Writing, Genelee Ann Guevarra for Editorial Cartooning, and Charliene Venice Chu for Digital Newspaper Layouting while Alexandra Biltz for Feature Writing, Winver Alincado also for Sports Writing were second placers .
Local chapter’s representatives in the Short Film Making under the Arts Category consisting of John Mark De Guzman, Grezel Denise Joy Aglibot, Dustin Josh Ramirez, Adigail Capanang, Mika Ella Marasigan, and Jhoana Icaranom notched the Champion Award and special awards such as Best Picture, Best Cinematography, Best Musical Score, and Best Film Editing while Alyssa Meryl Obane received the Best Supporting Actress as Special Award.
Meanwhile, in Radio Broadcasting, John Patrick M. Paril received the Best Sports News Presenter and Jan Kimberly Virtudazo as the Best Script Writer.
The event aims to give JPIAns an opportunity to compose instruments of unfabricated reality and speak to uncover authenticity as they dive deep into the unfiltered truth and was headed by the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants - National Capital Region as hosted by the Far Eastern University Manila - Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants, National University Manila - Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants, and National College of Business and Arts Fairview - Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants.
