The recent petition letter posted on the PUP CAF Student Council's Facebook page was junked by the CAF Administrators through a message on the Class Presidents' messenger group chat, on October 4 at 2:54 PM.
“The decision about resectioning is already final. Please refer to the approved retention policy par. B.5 and B.6 which are the basis for the resectioning process,” said Noel A. Bergonia, MBA, CPA, Chairperson of BSA.
On the Retention Policy, it was stated in B.5 that “After the ranking of the combined average scores of the Special Qualifying Examinations and the average of all 1st year accounting and law subjects, the SQE and Compre Committee will evaluate each student and shall fill-up those sections for 2nd year BSA and BSMA programs using the maximum number of slots as approved by the University.
In B6, “After obtaining the approval from the Dean, the SQE and Compre Committee will release the final list of the incoming 2nd Year BSA and BSMA students, together with their respective sections. The list will be posted to the PUP College of Accountancy and Finance official Facebook page and/or on the bulletin board on the 5th floor of the main building.”
Meanwhile, the said final list was not yet posted on the CAF Facebook page and the students are waiting for the final announcement from the college department.
