Leni-Kiko leads in PUP mock election



In the mock election results released by PUP Sentro ng Konseho ng Mag-aaral on March 16, Vice-President Leni Robredo and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan topped and garnered 92.92% and 84.18% votes, respectively.


Leni Robredo was followed by Ka Leody De Guzman, 2.14%; Isko Moreno, 1.90%; Bongbong Marcos Jr., 1.60%; Ping Lacson, 1.07%; and Manny Pacquiao, 0.16%; Ernie Abella and Norberto Gonzales ranked at the bottom while Faisal Mangondato and Jose Montemayor Jr. got no votes.


For the Vice-presidential bets, Sen. Kiko Pangilinan placed first followed by Doc Willie Ong, 5.61%; Walden Bello, 3.72%; Sara Duterte, 3.28%; Tito Sotto, 2.76% while Manny Lopez, Serapio Carlos, and Rizalito David placed at the bottom list.


Meanwhile, from 64 senatorial candidates, Chel Diokno got the highest votes of 9,047 followed by Risa Hontiveros, Neri Colmenares, Leila de Lima, Luke Espiritu, Teddy Baguilat, Elmer “Ka Bong” Labog, Sonny Matula, Antonio Trillanes IV, Kuya Alex Lacson, Chiz Escudero, and Samira Gutoc.


Furthermore, the Kabataan Partylist obtained the leading percentage of 41.80% that is equivalent to 4,040 votes.


The mock election was conducted from March 9 to 13, with a total of 9,653 valid votes out of 14,886 total registered voters from all college precincts of Polytechnic University of the Philippines - Sta. Mesa Campus and the College of Accountancy and Finance (CAF) acquired the highest number of voters, which is 3,892.


“Nasa tao ang tunay na kapangyarihan para sa pagbabago. Sa pagtawag sa atin ng panahon, kailangan natin maging mapagpasya,” said PUP Sentro ng Konseho ng Mag-aaral on their Facebook post as they concluded the mock election on March 13.
